Terms

Terms of Service

The agreement between you and VanDeYacht Audio when you buy, install or use our plugins, or use this site. Last updated October 25, 2026.

What you are buying

When you buy a plugin you are buying a license to use it, not the software itself. The license is personal to you and cannot be transferred or resold. It lets you install and use the plugin on up to two computers you own or control. You may use it for your own work, including work you are paid for.

A trial key runs for thirty days so you can find out whether the plugin works on your system before you pay for it. Trim is free, and its license works the same way as a paid one.

What the license does not allow: sharing your key, renting, lending or sublicensing the plugin, redistributing it, or reverse engineering, decompiling or disassembling it except where the law says you may. Do not remove our notices or use our name or marks as if we endorse your product.

Your account

An account holds your keys, your computers and your tickets. Use a real email address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.

We can suspend or close an account, and revoke the keys on it, for fraud, chargebacks, key sharing or attempts to break the licensing. We will tell you why.

Buying

We sell in United States dollars to customers in the United States. Prices on this site can change, but never for something you have already paid for. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.

All sales are final, with one exception for software that will not run. That exception, and how to use it, is on the refunds page, which is part of these terms.

Activation

You activate the plugin by signing in to your account from inside it. It finds your license itself. A license runs on two computers at once. It checks in with us from time to time and keeps working offline in between. Both seats are yours to move. Release a computer from your account page and the seat is free again. If a machine is lost or wiped, open a ticket and we will release it for you.

The plugins never send your audio, your sessions or your project files anywhere.

Updates and support

Updates to a plugin you own are included while we are publishing them, and we will not charge you for a bug fix. A future paid version is a different product, and you would choose whether to buy it.

Support is by ticket from the support page. We answer by email, usually within two business days. We cannot promise that a plugin will keep working with every future version of your operating system or DAW, but that is what we aim for and what we fix first.

What we cannot promise

The plugins are provided as they are. We do not warrant that they will be free of defects, or that they will suit a particular purpose. Mastering software sits in front of work you are delivering. Keep your own backups and check your masters before you send them.

These plugins can make audio much louder. Set your monitoring level before you push them, and protect your hearing.

To the extent the law allows, VanDeYacht Audio is not liable for lost work, lost revenue or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the plugin in the twelve months before the claim. Some states do not allow those limits. In those states, they apply as far as that state allows.

The rest

Everything in the plugins and on this site is ours, or licensed to us, and stays that way. If you send us an idea for a change, we can use it without owing you anything.

The license ends if you break these terms. If it ends, uninstall the plugin and delete your copies. You can stop using the plugins at any time.

We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and the terms that apply to a purchase are the ones posted when you made it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, and disputes belong to the state or federal courts there. If a clause is unenforceable, the rest still stands.
