What we collect, what we do with it, and who else handles it. Last updated October 25, 2026.
What we collect
- Your accountYour email address and your password. The password itself is never stored. What we keep in its place cannot be turned back into it.
- Your licensesYour keys, which plugin each one is for, whether it is a trial, and the order it came from.
- Your computersFor each activation, a code that stands for the computer, the name you give it, and when it activated and last checked in.
- Support ticketsYour name, your email address, what you write, anything you attach, and the versions you tell us about. Replies by email stay on the ticket.
- Visiting the siteThe pages you open, how long each is on screen, and how far you read. The site or link that sent you, links you follow off the site, and whether a visit led to an account, a trial, a download or a ticket. Along with this, your IP address, the approximate place and network it belongs to, your browser, device, screen size and language, and your account when you are signed in. We group pages into visits on our side. Nothing is stored in your browser for this. We keep it for 13 months, or longer for a visit that led to an account, a trial, a download or a ticket.
- Using the pluginsLicense check-ins, which tell us what is being used and what is failing.
- OrdersFrom our Shopify store: the order, the email on it, and whether it was paid or refunded. Card numbers never reach us.
What we do with it
We use it to run your account, your licenses and your support. We also use it to take and refund orders, keep the site and the licensing secure, and improve the plugins and the site. And we use it to email you about something you asked for or something you bought.
We do not sell or rent your information.
The plugins never send your audio, your sessions or your project files anywhere.
Cookies
The site sets a cookie when you sign in, so that you stay signed in. If we ever use cookies for anything else, this page will say so before we do.
Who else handles it
- CloudflareRuns the site, holds the database and the files you send us, delivers our email, and counts visits to the site with its Web Analytics.
- GoogleThe support@ mailbox is Google Workspace, so email between us is stored there.
- ShopifyCheckout happens at Shopify, under its own privacy policy. That includes the name and billing address you enter there. We receive the order, not the payment details.
These services handle it to do a job for us, not for themselves. If another service starts receiving your information, this page changes first.
How long, and your say
Account, license and activation records are kept while your account exists. Tickets are kept so we can see a problem you had before. Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after an account is closed.
Your account page shows your keys, your computers and your tickets, and lets you release a computer. Write to support@vandeyachtaudio.com for a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion of your account. We will do it within thirty days. Deleting the account deletes your keys with it, and the plugins will stop activating.
The site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. VanDeYacht Audio is Jacob VanDeYacht, doing business as VanDeYacht Audio, 1679 Remington Ridge Way, De Pere, WI 54115.
